Pension Tracker Project Director

US Pension Tracker provides information about the financial status of public pension systems in all 50 states and the District of Columbia.
The site contains relies on actuarial, budgetary, demographic, and other financial data from a number of sources, notably Comprehensive Annual Financial Reports (CAFRs) provided by state pension systems. Population and household data are from the U.S. Bureau of the Census, and U.S. Treasury yields are from the U.S. Department of the Treasury. We retrieved state expenditures and revenue from the National Association of State Budget Officers (NASBO).

Joe Nation is a Professor of the Practice of Public Policy at Stanford, the Director of the Graduate Public Policy Practicum, and the Grossman-Kennedy Fellow in Human Biology. He serves as Project Director for Pension Tracker.
Olympia Nguyen Tulloch is the Project Manager on Pension Tracker. Previously, she held portfolio management and strategy roles at JPMorgan, Citigroup and Deutsche Bank. She holds B.S. and M.S. degrees from Stanford in Computer Systems Engineering and Management Science & Engineering, respectively.
Jeremy Bulow provides technical assistance to the project. He is the Richard Stepp Professor of Economics at the Graduate School of Business, Stanford University and is also a Senior Fellow at the Stanford Institute for Economic Policy Research.
Greg Rosston provides technical assistance to the project. He is the Director of Stanford's Public Policy Program and the former Deputy Director of the Stanford Institute for Economic Policy Research.
William F. Sharpe provides technical assistance to the project. He is the STANCO 25 Professor of Finance, Emeritus at Stanford University's Graduate School of Business, and the winner of the 1990 Nobel Memorial Prize in Economic Sciences.
John Shoven provides technical assistance to the project. He recently served as the Trione Director of the Stanford Institute for Economic Policy Research (SIEPR) and is currently the Charles R. Schwab Professor of Economics, and the Buzz and Barbara McCoy Senior Fellow at the Hoover Institution.
Nicolas Pena Brown is a freshman and a prospective Public Policy Major at Stanford. In high school he worked for numerous political campaigns both in the United States and in the Dominican Republic. Nicolas expects to pursue a career in public service.
Rip Livingston is a member of the Stanford Class of 2020, from Birmingham, Alabama, and a prospective Public Policy-Economics double major.
Surya Narayanan is a current first year Masters Student in the Engineering Department at Stanford University. He is specializing in his concentration - finance and spends his spare time reading Russian Literature, and enjoys listening to music.
Rajesh Soni works as a software architect & developer for Pension Tracker. Has done post-graduation work in Computer Science and has more than 15 years of experience building databases & software solutions.
